We collect contact details when you ask us to match you with firms or claim a listing. We use them to do exactly that. We never sell your data, and we never collect patient data.

• Match requests. Your practice name, work email, specialty, payer mix, practice size, and anything you write in the form.
• Claim requests. The name and work email of the person claiming a firm’s profile.
• Payments. Featured subscriptions run through our payment partner, Creem. Creem handles card details. We see your billing contact and subscription status, never card numbers.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and collects device and rough-location data.
• Server logs. Standard request logs, including IP address, kept for a short period for security.

Patient data. BillingFirms is a directory for practice operators. Do not submit patient information through this site, and tell us immediately if you do.

• To answer match requests and introduce you to firms you choose.
• To verify claim requests and keep listings accurate.
• To bill Featured subscriptions and provide support.
• To understand site usage and improve the directory.

With the firms you ask us to introduce you to — and only them, only then. With the service providers who run this site: Cloudflare (hosting), Creem (payments), and Google (analytics).

We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising networks.

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out for Analytics. Blocking analytics cookies does not break anything on this site.

Match-request details: up to two years after your request is closed, then deleted. Claim and billing records: as long as the listing is active, plus the period tax and accounting rules require. Server logs: weeks, not years.

Email us at any time to see, correct, or delete the details we hold about you. If you live in Washington or anywhere else with a privacy law, we honor those rights for all US visitors — you do not need to cite the statute.

One note on introductions: once we have introduced you to a firm, that firm’s use of your details is governed by its own privacy policy. Ask us who we contacted on your behalf and we will tell you.

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to stored details is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect. Do not send sensitive information through the forms.

We may update this policy. We post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
